The world cup fever is over, now it’s time for the football fanatics to indulge in the Premier League season. The last season of english premier league was a two horse race between Chelsea and Manchester United, where Chelsea clinched the title on the very final day of the prestigious competition. As Christiano Ronaldo moved to the La Liga giant Real Madrid prior to the season many had thought the golden days of ManU was already over. However, the fantastic combination of Giggs, Scholes, Berbatov and Rooney did not let the absence of Ronaldo to be felt. They were out with all guns blazing which gave the Blues a hard competition and the respective fans could not plan ahead any celebration as the winner was decided on the final day. Where the Blues and the Red Devils were aiming for the superiority, Liverpool was plummeting from the apex in an unexpected manner. The likes of Gerard, Torres and Maxi Rodrigez could not make it to the lime light as they were left out of any possibility of reaching this year’s Champions League. Arsenal brought in

French defender Laurent Koscielny from Lorient for a fee of €12m and Moroccan forward Marouane Chamakh on a free transfer from Bordeaux. Tottenham signed in Brazilian midfielder Sandro from Internacional.
