Domenech’s 21-man squad for the match had some surprises in store such as a shock call-up for Toulouse goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso. The latter will act as a third choice keeper with Steve Mandanda and Hugo Lloris being the first and second choice goalkeepers respectively.

France are tottering in their qualifying group lying fourth with four points from three games played so far.

Meanwhile Argentina coach Diego Maradona has recalled Juan Sebastian Veron for his side’s friendly against France in Marseille. However Boca Juniors playmaker Roman Riquelme does not find a place in the squad. Other surprise inclusions in Argentina’s squad for this game include Marcos Angeleri, Cristian Ledesma, Emiliano Papa and Daniel Montenegro.
